colouring book? or a puzzle book
game boy, read books and magazines, do puzzle books,
sleep all the way..
This is a really radical idea.but, you could always try reading a book!! Harry Potter or something ya know?
stay awake the night before then sleep all the way
Sleep - unless you're driving
If driving put the radio on but don't answer the phone
get your own i pod or take hers away from her
You can take pics of the area and make a scrapbook and give it to your best friend or something me i just like to look at whats around i like to draw and i draw from inspiration around me.
buy a little DVD player and bring some movies to watch on the road or get a learn to speak French audio book so that way when you're in France, you'll be able to communicate with the locals.
Book, if you can read in a moving car (if you can, some people get car sick when reading with their head down). Also try to get some sleep so you can be somewhat rested when you arrive. Try to stay up before you go, but talk to your parents about this, and your concerns.
Portable game console, you should try having a nap (sleep) that always helps me get through long journeys.
plan your future in great detail
I'm sure whichever parent isn't driving will be able to talk to you. It might be a good time to have a good chat with them. Or get a map of the areas you are driving through and follow the route. Or go to sleep!!
Bring a book with you, or ask your sister if you can put some songs you like onto her ipod and she might let you listen to it for a while.
buy a psp
Count how many red/blue/white cars you have seen through your journey
keep your eyes on the road
Either stay up all night the night before you leave so that you can sleep through the journey (make sure you have a pillow), or take a very good book. Other than that it's "I spy" with your parents!
take your psp maybe or some sort of lap top game .
u can try sleeping, reading, bothering ur sis, taking her ipod away, colouring (even on her face), or the scrap book idea. Best of luck!
Sleep
Cellphone or game boy for games and a psp to watch movies on.
Nag your parents to buy you a PSP or other hand held computer thingy or take a cd player that way when your mum starts shouting at your dad becuase he is lost you don't have to listen to them for 12 hours. I endured many many horrible car journeys with my mum and dad when I was younger and Ipods did not exist back then (although not that long ago!) If you have neither stay awake all night and then you can sleep through the journey. Have a nice holiday.
Keep track of unusual vehicles u see on your trip. I bet u can make the entire trip without spotting a single Chevrolet Vega! See how many cars from the 50s u can spot. See if u can spot any unusual imports, like a Renault or Simca.
Watch the scenery and the towns and villages along the road as long as you can stand it. Write down anything interesting that you see. Bring some books to read and a comfortable pillow. Personally, I am quite envious of a long drive through France - it seems a lot more exciting than a long drive through the U.S.
psp or a gameboy
If you get really board then put a notice in the rear window saying "HELP WE ARE BEING KIDNAPPED CALL THE POLICE" and watch mummy and daddy collapse with laughter as they are lead away by the police
you can take a look at some of the comments listed in the link below. they seem a little dull! but might give you some idea of your own you could draw up a list of vehicle you need to spot! British cars, construction machines, trains, caravans, aeroplanes and what ever else you think of, make a list then count how many of each type you spot. what ever you decide to do, have a nice time and have a safe journey.
reading when you're in a car can make you nauseous you could buy the audio books though like harry potter etc which really help to pass the time
Go for a sleep. There's not much to see on those Frence motorways.. I'm sure someone will wake you when you reach a stop point.
