What's it like commuting from Pinner to central London.?

Am thinking of moving to Pinner (from West Hampstead now). But wanted to find out what the Metropolitan Line is like from there, commuting into Liverpool Street. How frequent are the trains in the morning and evening? And do you have to change at Baker Street? I find it very hard to decipher all the fast / semifast / etc services.

Answers:
In general not very good - the Met line shares tracks with Hammersmith & City, Circle and District (?) lines after Baker street, so if any of their trains fails the knock-on effect ripples all the way up the Met line.

Pinner branch of the Met line is better than the Uxbridge one - I think 1/2 of your services are fast /semi-fast, which saves about 10 minutes.

It's a nice place to live so don't be put off, just don't expect to get anywhere fast either!
.
Trains are about as reliable as a paper carrier bag in the rain.
The reason you find it hard to decipher is because no one has a clue
The fast ones did not break down for more than 5 minutes.
The semi fast are 50/50 on showing up
