Car Allowence?

I am employed ans I have a car allowence and use my own car for business use. I have heard that every year you can claim money from the Hm revenue and customs for the mileage you do, and you can claim back upto 40p a mile. How do you make a claim??

Answers:
Keep all receipts for gas and mileage, and turn them in to your tax preparer, this is called itemizing.
It's pain in the @$$, but if you think you can get more back by doing so, then the hassle might be worth it.
Consult your accounting staff for more information.
