Rover75 rear hit by a 4x4. Garage says not repairable what do I do? how much will the insurance pay?

The 4x4 damaged the rear end of my Rover 75, impossible to shut boot and lights not working. The garage and insurance now say it is not repairable. - but even after the accident, the car was driving perfectly. How much will the insurance company pay? Will they? Is there any way I can get the car fixed?

Answers:
the insurance company will pay the market value, so get yourself sorted and find out how much rover 75s in your year are selling for. The car then belongs to the insurance company, you can offer to buy it back, to see if its worth it go to a small body shop and find out the cost to fix it, you can then decide whether you want to have the repair done yourself or move on and leave the car with the insurer
insurance will pay market value unless you stated different
If the insurance company says it is not repairable they will pay what you told them the car was worth when you renewed you insurance. Sometimes they say the cost of repairing a vehicle is more than the car is worth, so they would rather pay that amount.
you could buy it off the insurance company but not worth repairing yourself if they have written it off you will get the market value at the time of writing
