Personalised numberplate websites?

Regtransfers has already been mentioned above as has the DVLA site. There is also Elite Transfers and so on. It really depends on your budget really. I have had a great deal of success with the DVLA in persuading them to sell certain dateless (old style numbers and letters up until 1963) plates for my classic cars, and not just any number but ones relating to racing cars of the period. For example Jaguar raced at Le Mans with OKV1 to OKV 4 so the reverse (1 OKV etc.) they have now sold. I am currently asking for another specific set to be sold for another car of mine. Not cheap though.
A word of warning; If you go to one of the sites mentioned above and look at the price of one of the post 1963 numbers they have for sale there is a good chance it is still available on the DVLA site direct - in other words never issued or sold. Specifically the prefix (A123 ABCetc.) series of plates. These dealers don't own a lot of these numbers but suck you in and add their percentage. I recently saved a friend £500 by checking the one he wanted direct with the DVLA and bought it from them direct.
Some they won't sell - I tried to get R50LES and R50LED years back (work it out for yourself!) but they had already spotted it and wouldn't release them for sale. Can't win 'em all!

DVLA website.
http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/home/.
Check it out! Or buy a copy of Autotrader (if in UK). They have lists and lists of them!!
The DVLA site is the cheapest
www.dvla.co.uk
type it in in google
If you goto www.autotrader.co.uk there's a list of links to various sites.
If you find one you like on a site check with the DVLA before you buy. The independent sites list plates they don't actually own and will charge you what the DVLA sells them for plus a transfer fee and VAT, which is a rip off as the DVLA include them in their price.
The plate I want is on Regtransfers for £777.00, but it's on the DVLA site (who own it) for £600 all in.
DVLA Cherished Registration website they start from £250 including transfer fee.
DVLA are best - thats usually where the little companies get theirs from.
