Yes absolutely John! I lived in an urban area in Scotland before moving to rural Ireland and lost count of the number of times when these thoughtless people would wake me up. It's usually a case of both big bore exhausts and sound system turned to the max with boom boom boom music . After all there are laws! You know about sound levels? It's OK to get the police out to get your neighbours to turn down/off their loud TV and/or stereo so why the same doesn't apply to these mindless idiots is simply a huge WHY??

File a complaint with the local police. They should have the gear to check the sound level.
There should be some sort of mechanism distributed by cops when someone is caught with a loud *** ricer muffler, that connects a microphone at the tip of the exhaust pipe to the car's speaker system, so the driver has to listen to the noise inside his car, but amplified so its twice as loud..

On the contrary, I find there's nothing more exciting than lying in my bed listening to some spotty youth's 1.1 litre 1995 vauxhall corsa. There's just something about a "sports tuned" exhaust that many people find exciting, don't you think?
I often wonder why the world's top rally drivers don't fit these "soup can" exhausts to THEIR cars, if they really improve performance.

theres a couple of cars that have them on my street to make matters even worse when they drive by a few of the neighbours cars have sensor car alarms on there cars , what a frigging noise all hours of the day and night
cars dont need to make that amount of noise and most of them actually lose power with those exhausts.idiots

Boys who want their exhust to roar are just trying to make-up for the size of their Johnson. No girl cares about your roaring exhaust that is unless it is comming for your rectum in which case she would like to be warned so she can run or hold her nose.
In england, they should just make it part of the mot.. car revved to 3000, should not produce more than 80dcb at any point that type of thing..
then if they take em on and off inbetween, its fraud against the government,
cars are not subject to noise test, even though bikes can fail the mot for being to loud.
i just laugh at the loud exhausts because if they sound bad ouside they must be terrible in the car.

I always think these adaptions make people cars sound faulty. They should be banned at all times of the day along with boot bass sound systems.
In fact "Gary" and his mates should be taken out and shot at dawn.
They should be banned and regulation ordinary exhausts refitted at the boy/girl racers' expense or else they should have a device fitted to their car that doesn't allow it to start after 10pm at night. At that time of night they should all be in their beds anyway.
