You go to the post office and hand over an extortionate amount of money in return for a tiny disc made of paper. In return the government promise to take the money and not spend it on roads or public transport but rather on anything that aids their careers instead

you should be sent a reminder letter through the post and then you can either go to your main post office with all your usual documentation or.be brave like i was and do it online.it is soooo much easier

You can now do it online, but you still have to leave enough time for the disc to be sent back to you.
If, like me, yours ran out on Tuesday 31 October, but you don't get paid until the last weekday of the month (ie. Tuesday 31 October), you still have to do it the "old-fashioned" way at the good old Post Office.
