Which is safer cars facing away from you or cars facing towards you?
Answers:
If you mean when walking on a country road its cars facing towards you is safer. Means you can see em coming!
If my sister in law is driving it neither!!
need more info
I think cars facing towards you because you know they're coming.
walking - towards so you can see danger coming
bike - go with the traffic flow so you will be seen as a vehicle ( and stay ON the driving portion of the road not to the side to prevent dangerous high speed passing ) and it's the law
If your talking about crashing, getting ran over etc than sadly i dont know, i'd say motor transport in general isnt really that safe.
stay safe,
facing towards you; this way they see you and you see them.
facing towards you
depends on the driver not the car
If you're walking on a road without a pavement it is always safer to be on the side where cars are coming towards you, that way you can see them and they can see you better. Just take care on any bends in the road.
In terms of walking down a countryside facing towards is safer.
when walking or biking you always go with the flow of traffic and when driving i say no cars are safe its always the driver that you have to look at but you always want them to see you
i hope you don't drive.
Walk against the traffic in order to see what's coming, and I'd rather hit the back of a car than the front of a car, more crumple space.
Towards you.
you would still get knocked down
You have not given enough information to properly answer your question. What are the circumstances? Are you walking? Riding a bike? Driving a car?
neither both just as dangerous if they hit you
but if out walking on a country road always walk towards on coming traffic.
You need to walk in the same direction and same side of the street whether you are walking, driving, jogging, or riding a bike. Cars aren't ninjas - they don't just sneak up on you and kill you. You can hear a car coming and you can feel the vibration in the road.
There are instances when pedestrians are struck by vehicles, but it requires either a combination of oblivious people or bad judgment in order for an accident to occur.
Walk on the side of the road - just off the road if you're on flat land. If you don't have to be on the road surface yourself, don't be.
Don't crank the volume on your headphones, doing so will impair your ability to hear an approaching vehicle.
Wear reflective or bright clothing. You don't want to blend in with the surrounding area (which is why hunters wear bright orange). Being visible will keep you from being killed.
You wouldn't need to ask this question if you stopped going for Sunday walks om the M1.
Towards you
Away. If they collide with you, impact speed will be difference of two cars speed
Facing, impact speed will be the sum of the speeds.
