Does anyone know how much it costs to get a commercial pilots licence?

This is from scratch. Lessons, everything?

There are many ways to get your commercial pilots licence. you can do it from scratch by yourself but that will cost you.. you can do it through an airline if in the uk flybe are doing a sponsorship program at the moment.. go to their website to find out more details at http://www.cabair.com/sponsorship/.

The current price for the First Officer Direct Programme is £47,217.00 plus VAT (£55,480.00) with flybe and its pretty much the same with other airlines that offer similar programmes.
about 3 grand
Try £75k.
try http://ebay.com for manuals and http://google.com for websites about it :)
about half a million pounds, no joke. Hence why you need a company to employ you and pay for it.
Sarah..go and do it in Texas sweetheart. It is the cheapest place to do it in. It is very expensive in England and the whole course would cost you the same amount as buying a houselThe only other course is to approach BA or some other airline and ask them to sponsor you.
to get a commerical license from scratch will cost a lot depending on how much you have to pay the flight school, flying time etc. etc. i could be way in the high 10's of thousands and lots and lots of logged flight hours. Most commercial pilots either own their own planes, work as charter or business pilots or come from the military. Hard to work up that many hours on your own.
private starter lesson at an airport near us is about £268 an hour using a chipmunk ex R.A.F. trainer. So just getting your private pilots licence is very expensive. You will also need a medical.
No. But when you find out, please let me know. Cheers.
hey.i live in Jordan its in the middle-east.here you can get it for a bout 40000$ and it take 18 month and then u have it.there is people coming from all over the world to study here in Jordan because we have a great flying schools.
i am goign for one right now in Canada, and the cost is $45000.
Depends on the school U take the classes at. Some schools are more expensive than others. For a good training program, start counting on atleast 30 thousand dollars, and as much as over 100 thousand dollars.
In the US, expect about $15,000 plus just for a single engine propeller commercial license.

If you want to be an airline pilot, try about $50,000 +
like a car license depends how long it takes you
I looked into this. If you are talking about a license that will enable you to fly a large comercial jet for a big airline than you're looking at between £40,000 and £60,000. Some airlines will offer you a loan which will be repaid once you get qualify though or even better, some will sponsor you through training.

To obtain a private pilots license it costs around £2500 to £4000
