Hi, is it legal to park in front of someones vehicular access to their garage?

Answers:
Yes it's illegal, where I live. Laws and parking ordinances varying from state to state, county to county so, check them out where you live. Regardless of whether or not the cops see it, the owner of the driveway will probably call the cops and or get the car towed. Once you pile up the tickets you can kiss a good auto insurance rate good bye.
no
its not illegal unless they have markings on the roadside.
no, you cannpt park in someones driveway or on the street blocking their driveway you can get ticketed and or towed
only if you can stand to have your rump kicked real good.
yes it is, as someone did it to me and i called the police, and they fined him 50 quid and towd his car to the LOT. i dont respect ppl who park in front of driveways or garages, unless they are freinds or relatives visiting haha
No its illegal to park or block a persons drive way or garage.
If you have their permission, but no it is not legal to block someone's garage.
Not only is it illegal to block someone's right of way it is also not very neighborly.
No, its not legal. you should not do that because its their property and u don't really have the right to block their way unless u have their permission to do so.
I wouldn't say that it is illegal, unless they have had road markings put down ," BUT " I would say that it is not very polite to block their access either way, illegal or not, I'm sure you wouldn't like someone to do it to you.
It is illegal. We had this problem once. Uni students kept parking right infront of our garage and we couldn't get out to go to work! Serious stuff! We called the police and they had the car towed away! You have the right to do that. Imagine if you lost your job because of some thick ignorant person!!
It is certainly selfish to even considering doing so although I have seen some of the 'Mums' collecting their children from school do so. In the London area, Parking Attendants often patrol for that purpose at certain times, near schools.
You can certainly be booked if the kerb has been lowered to allow for access to the garage.
If it denies the owner access, yes.
You cannot obstruct someones access
if it has a dropped kerb then yes the person can then have a H mark put down then its an offence
yes it is illegal to block the access to the garage ,and there is a law against it,next time it happens call the law,and they will ticket her for it that's the only way you,ll be able to end it probably,it might make her mad,,but it may come down to this,,good luck,i hope this help,s.
hell no. and you will make them mad. they might have you towed and that will cost you.
may be call them and talk to them coolly however legally your are in better position
NO
No, its not illegal to park in front of someones drive way, unless road markings show otherwise. However, if you wish to gain entry or exit, and that is blocked, if the person does not move their vehicle upon request, then they are causing an obstruction and that is illegal.
To get a clear definition, talk to you local police.
I've never known it to be illegal, but I do know that it is pretty uncourteous and rather.selfish.looking-for. in manner if you think about it.
its illegal whether your car is in the garage or not. Next time she does it tell her to move, if she refuses, call the police and they will give her a ticket.
No, it's not legal to park
Call the police then see how clever she is
Most of these answers are totally incorrect.
It is NOT illegal to block someones drive unless official road markings indicate otherwise.
However , if the offending vehicles owner refuses to move it upon request then they may be charged with causing an obstruction.
If you own the property then have her towed.Ask her not do do it anymore first
if you cant get your car out and she has blocked you call the police and they will get it removed she will then be liable for the bill it will cost her at least £140
No it's not illegal, but it seems as though she's being rather babyish about it.
If you can't solve anything by talking to her, then try the Citizens Advice Bureau, and see what advice they can give you, before things turn nasty.
