Where can I fly in a sea-plane?

If you find yourself in Vancouver, British Columbia or on Vancouver Island you can have your choice of a number of commercial sea plane services that run regular passenger service for up to 6 guests per plane.
Check out Harbour Air, WestCoast Air, or Baxter Air
All three services (along with HeliJet--a high speed helicopter service) all leave from the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre a.k.a. "the 5 Sails" down on Coal Harbour.
I think its about $100 Canadian per crossing if memory serves. Takes 20 to 30 minutes of what can be pretty bumpy flying. They also fly to many of the Gulf Islands like Saltspring Island.
Note: BRING EAR PLUGS!! these are definitely no commercial jets by any stretch.

There is a small school outside Blythe on the west coast of the US that will actually let you take the controls. I forget the name though but it should be easy to find.

Gosh, probably pretty much anywhere there is a substantial body of water. Very odd question. I'm sure there are thousands of places in the U.S. alone.

I was lucky enough to be on honymoon on my birthday. My wonderful new husband took me on a floatplane flight for my birthday over Vancouver. As I love aircraft (and am and Aerospace Engineer, so is he) this was a fantastic experience and birthday present. So Vancouver is a nice place to go and fly in one! The company was Harbour Air and we flew in a De Havilland Beaver.

I know in the US you can fly (or land rather) on any body of water that is "navigable". So if you can drive a powerboat on it you can land on it. They do around here all the time (Florida).
I would highly recommend Browns Seaplane Base in Florida. It won't cost you a fortune and you will have a ball whether you want an additional rating or just the experience.

well you should try in the air , as they are a sod to handle down the m25 ( might be worth trying though!!)
try in the air over some water but they also have wheels so you can ride around the airport
in miami fla. don't know the name but a few years back they had one crash that was caught on tape.showed on the news for a week.
Ok.if you take a left on Roberts Lane and go about 3 miles to Chester Ave. Hang a right and go another 4 miles to the Garces Circle. The place is just before the circle. there is a big parking lot so there is lots of space. Oh wait.thats the strip place. Sorry. When I lived in the Seattle area, there was a couple of places you could go fly in a sea plane. Good luck
AirSea Lines operate a scheduled service from Corfu to the Italian and Greek mainland, and a number of the Greek Islands.

Fairbanks Alaska air port has a water runway parallel to the commercial active.
Many pilots fly light aircraft equipped with floats in the summer and skies in the winter.
Now flying boats is another story. I can't remember ever actually seeing one in person. There is at least one company making single engine general aviation flying boats but the big ones are pretty scarce. There a couple in Washington or Oregon that are used for water drops on forest fires and a few are operated by private individuals. I think you might have some luck in Hawaii, I would imagine there would be someone island hopping with a small fleet of them.
Hey, Good luck on your search. BTW, Alaskan bush pilots are crazy. Fly at your own risk. I was able to get to some very isolated places but the pucker factor on landing was clear off the scale for me and I wasn't even flying the plane.
