Why is the Green Cross Code green and not some other colour? Is green the colour of non-road side carnage?

Answers:
Green is the colour associated with safety, and the Green Cross Code is meant to instil safety in children. Simple really!
yes
Well, green is usually associated with safety - it's also a colour that's good, whereas red's taken as bad. Like traffic lights for example.
Hope it helps.:-)
