I used to make bladder fuel cells for motorsport applications. Does anyone know who invented them? and where I could find out more all I have found out so far is that they were invented during the second world war.
Answers:
I am willing to bet it was the BF Goodrich company since they also invented deicing boots in WW2 as well. They've had pretty much everything to do with rubber and aviation. It doesn't say anything on their website though.
It may also have been Barnes Wallis, as he had a huge input into the aviation sector during the war. Remember the bouncing bomb?
