The AAIB report makes very interesting reading and brought about many significant improvements in safety.

I have no personal knowledge of any crash in the Southall area in the 1950's, and can find no information on this.
Never heard of one. There was one in Staines in the 60's when a British Airways plane came down killing all on board.
