REPORTING OF UNLICENSED VEHICLES ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY:
http://forms.dvla.gov.uk/public/unlic_ve.
call the council..they are now obliged to remove abandoned cars
In my town, I call the police and they tag it and haul it away.
call city code and complaince
Tell the police, it may have been stolen then dumped and they'll be able to find out if anyone's looking for it.
call the cops and have it towed
call the police about it
Police.
The local police.
Contact a tow service! WTF! Why did you let it sit there for a year??!
Any towing Company will tow at no charge to you, you can even call your local police dept for asst, also if it appears to be a half way decent car contact your DMV and fill out the required paper work for an abandonment title and it will be yours free and clean
Strip the thing bare and sell the parts.
Call your local law enforcement. They'll mark it abadoned and someone will come to tow it away.
call your local police dept. and tell them there's been a car on the street for the past year and its now becoming an eyesore. they will have it towed away.
Id call the cops.sometimes repeatedly.
they will ticket it then mark the tires and if it hasnt moved in a certain amount of time the tow it off.
Call a tow truck company to haul it away. And let the owner of the car deal with the impound fees.
call my buddy steve. he'll take it and maybe your car as well.
on second thouhgt don't call steve.
Police
contact your local police departement and report it, it may be stolen.
call the lazzy *** cops and get them to do there job!
Is the car on private or public property? If public, start with the local police, if private, contact the county or district attorney and see what your rights are. The police should be able to trace ownership by the VIN #. Abandon vehicle laws vary by state.
Contact the police, then contact the local council. If it's been there over a year,it will have no road tax, which is illegal.wheter it has tax or not, phone the police and tell them about it.
best thing to do is to call the police..but don't call 911, rather call your local town's non-emergency phone number. Another thing is that you can try to research on whether you can potentially try to sue the owner of the car for the trouble you had with his/her car's interferrence.
You could contact the police. They will probably want to pass the buck but make sure they give you the name and number of the persons who are supposed to handle it.
Or, you could also call the Department of Motor Vehicles for your state and report the license plate. Maybe it was stolen or used in a crime, you never know. You may end up helping someone solve a mystery.
Call you local police. If you live outside the city limits call your Sheriff dept. or equivalent depending on where you live. They will check and make arrangements for towing to an impound yard.
sell parts off it,then throw any junk you want to get rid of in the car
then call the police for an abandoned car
Contact the appropriate authorities - police, city counsel, ect. If nothing is done contact any towing company or junk yard and ask them what there policy is on hauling away abandoned vehicles, they will usually pick them up for free because if it is never claimed they can then keep any profits made from selling the vehicle or parts.
Depends where you live i know someone who sells scrap cars and would just tow it away, however its not yours so best get in touch with your local council they will come along slap a sticker on it to the effect it has been abandoned probably wait 28 days for a response if no responds they should dispose of it.
Set fire to it, it'll get shifted then.
if the vehicle is on private land, there isn't anybody you can call - what my father did when somebody abandoned a car in their drive, was to move it out onto the public road then called the police.
Nowadays, you would have to call your local council (if you are in the uk), once the vehicle is on a public road.
Any non-taxed vehicles left on public roads are the responsibility of the local council to get rid of.
Good luck.
the best option is get a man with a van, they just pick them up and crush them and will give you £30 for doing it, they usually dont bother with a log book, failing that the council must remove it and if they are slow tell them it is a health hazard and local kids are playing around it
