Can anyone help?

I live near Warrington does anyone know what kind of bombers were the last ones to use RAF Burtonwood USAF planes I think they had three engines on each wing with counter rotating propellors on the trailing edge of the wing,saw them when I was a kid about 1960s,Thanks for any help.

You are probably thinking of the B-36's. Each wing held 3 prop engines on the back of the wing.
They were Convair B-36 Peacemakers. They were designed to deliver nuclear weapons intercontinentally. This was before the B-52 was operational and ICBM's and submarine ICBM's came along.
