What do the letters l & n mean on a uk driving licence?

I think on my ex-wife's they meant Lunatic and Nutter.
i have no idea.cannot remember the last time i looked at it

L is "Electrically propelled vehicles" and N is "Vehicles exempt from vehicle excise duty"
L is an electric vehicle.
N is a vehicle used for short distances on public roads.
