Can't lock my jaguar s-type doors remotely?

You need to try locking the door manualy with the key. If that does not work and you you live in the UK. Call Jaguar Assistance, I think the number is 0800 246844.
i had this problem with my car, i have a mitsubishi eclipse, turns out they had to get a new remote and program it in sync with my car so it would work. you can probably call up one of the jaguar dealerships and ask if that may be the case. otherwise it could maybe be the battery in the remote.

If your car is 2003 or newer it is the remote itself. There is a service action for the remotes. When you put the keys in the door to unlock it manually static will discharge into the remote making it not work. The dealership will have new remotes and if you have any other remotes that still work they have an upgrade to correct this problem. Tell the servive advisor to give you the S527 Remote upgrade service action.
But if your car is a 2000-2002 model it is probably just a battery.
