gIVE IT TO gORDON bROWN
what a rip off. here in Virginia USA they cost 10 dollars extra
They run to the nearest bar and spend like a drunken sailor until its all gone.
It goes back to the treasury to pay for important stuff like the christmas party for all of the hardworking, hard-playing MP's!
Gordan Brown uses the 8 tenners from it to light 8 more of his cigars!!
It covers the administration costs of the transfer (the additional staff and office space required to handle transfers).
I'm surprised they've never increased it - it was £80 back in 1990.
Different DVLA registration DOT fees apply depending on where the registration mark is both coming from and going to. For example, if the registration number is coming direct from another vehicle it will be subject to an £80 fee, if a mark is coming from a DVLA retention certificate the fee is £105, and if the mark is currently held on a DVNI Northern Irish retention certificate it will be subject to a £160 DVLA transfer fee. The circumstances of the buyer and where they live, e.g. Mainland UK or Northern Ireland, will also dictate which fee applies.
they buy another clamp cos i keep on cutting them of and selling them on ebay hehehehe
It's supposed to pay for the admin that's involved, but as it's all computerised now it should be reduced.
