Has there ever been a commercial submarine line for those who may want to try it?

like going on a cruise but under the ocean.

Answers:
Yes, indeed there are.

It's mainly meant for ecotourists who wish to view and learn more about marine ecosystems. According to a short paragraph on Wikipedia, it is said that "By 1996 there were over fifty private submarines operating around the world, serving approximately two million passengers a year. Most of them carried between twenty-five and fifty passengers at a time and sometimes made ten or more dives per day."

A good bet would be to check out places like Hawaii or the Great Barrier Reef where active research has gone into studying marine culture. As for prices for such rides, it would be best to check with your local tour agent. Happy surfing!
Why would you want to sit in a metal hull underwater? You can't see anything.

Tell you what. for 1000 bucks, I'll let you sit in my basement for a week.

enjoy.
yeah I was on one. It was in the Canaries (lanzarote) only about a month ago. They make the commercial submarines up in Finland for $2 million dollars each so there has to be more around the world. it was pretty cool
there is a submarine 'ride' in Disneyland L.A.
try the white star line, they have a good history of sinkers
Yeah, a Bayliner.
I was in Hawaii several years ago. We took a submarine ride.
It was fun and worth it.
It was all staged with divers out on the reef feeding the fish so as to keep them in our view.
