How do you switch off airbag on the passenger side of a vauxhaull astra so I can put car seat in front?
Answers:
Don't disable the bag, put the seat in the back. Unless you have it removed there is no 100% guarantee of it not going off, and given the fatal injuries to infants in rear-facing car seats with air bags, it's just not worth it.
The only safe way to do this is to have the airbag completely taken out, which will cost you a bit.
Any ways at switching them off are not 100% reliable
is'nt there a key slot in the left side of you dashboard. you need the key tho turn off the airbag on that side.
CAR SEAT SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN THE FRONT SEAT. THE BACK SEAT AND IN THE MIDDLE IS THE SAFEST FOR YOUR CHILD.
Don't please. If you have a child young enough to be in a car seat, they need to be in the back seat anyway.
"You don't" is the answer to both questions.

I hope this helps.
usually there is a key hole in the glove box of most makes and models of cars have a look there
You need to contact your vauxhall dealer they can do it. Having said that its not a good idea to travelling with an infant in the front seat is not recomended look on your door pillar there is a note telling you not to do so .
I found that the best way to switch off my airbag is to slap her around the head!
