Why dont drivers use dipped headlights when it rains instead of poxy sidelights?
Answers:
Some people have no road sense and obviously didnt have a good driving instructor or read the highway code properly.
i couldn't agree with you more than i already do
If you're talking about driving in the daytime then you must need glasses. You only need to use side lights..Dipstick!!
Because most of them dont even know how to apply for a licence let alone know how to dip their headlights. Sometimes I wish I had an old banger so that I could just bang into them to teach em a lesson
dont know why they obviously did pass the driving test idiots moomins
maybe they think they are saving electricity?
its cos they are t*ssers
It's one of the many wonders of the idiot drivers club - another is NOT dipping their headlights when coming towards you!
Maybe they missed out the lesson on light operation?!?
Nah, your "dipstick" response is more likely!
Well, I've been driving for many years, and I've never heard of dipped headlights OR sidelights (or poxy, for that matter, but I can guess that from context), so that's why I don't. What in the world are you all talking about?
.
I believe you are referring to parking lights when you say sidelights. They are for just that, when you are parked. People in the habit of misusing these lights often forget that's all they're using after dusk; hence, they drive unknowingly without the headlights on.
beacuse these drivers are stitting whwre the dipstick should be!
its illegal just to use sidelights in the uk
Cos they r playing chicken its them who come to a full stop at road humps and dont set off when lights are at green.
From what I've seen the worst offenders are those with cars with sidelines that stay on all the time. Bone idleness has a great part to play, methinks
People tend to drive in a vacuum. They don't visualize themselves on the road. They appreciate being able to see an oncoming car w/ its headlights on but not realize it is more difficult to be seen w/ only the parking lights on. I call it not learning to drive a car but only steering it. The laws of physics are not kind to a driver in a crash, but if you ignore them, they'll bite you.
Actually I do not see alot of use in having parking lights. If you are parked along the side of the road, one should use the flashers. I recall a lot of Chevy brochures show the car in a showroom w/ its parking lights on. So maybe GM sends subliminal messages to these drivers.
Thanks Lozlahollyfeld for figuring out what the question was.
Hey Lazla did you just awake from suspended animation?
