How can I re-paint a scratch on my car cheaply?

go to the dealership and ask for touch up paint.
Depending on how big, you could try touch up paint. Try your local dealer for the stuff.
All car paints are different to normal paints you get at your B&Q. So, contact the car company i.e. Lexus or what ever, then ask then for the paint. They should supply you with a little jar of paint about the size of tipex pot with a brush. lightly at the paint to the car and leave to dry.

you can take the car into a body shop and ask them to just brush touch the car its only about 20 bucks and they can match the paint pretty well, the scratch will still be visible but only at close quarters . other than that pay or just try one of those color polishes that are supposed to cover scratches and clean the car at the same time. be careful though if you try rubbing back and respraying the area yourself as it can be more difficult than it may seem especially if it is metallic paint.
you can buy a touch up pen if you go to halfords, give them the make, model and year of your car they will find the correct colour and you can do the job yourself
you cant-not correctly.but-
they make touch-up auto paint @ autozone,checker,etc.
wipe your car down first with a little paint thinner (just a couple swipes) on the scratches, then take a q-tip and dab the touch-up on there..if you f up, just take it off with the thinner rag ()dont rewet it unless you have to) and start over. youll find how to make it work after a couple tries. hopefully your car is newer (98+), and then you wont hurt the finish.if its older than 98, dont worry about it anyway-besidesd, you probably wont find the color if it is old
Don't know how many panels they scratched, but you can purchase touch up paint from a dealer the same colour. Than you must mask of the line as narrow as you can get. You should try a small section first to see if you have a perfect match. if you have a good match spray the whole scratch. It is rather tricky. If that doesn't work, then you must spray the whole scratched section which might be rather expenisve.
try g3 paste available from dsc tel07969 073 179 also find out the paint code available from manufacture tel no in service or maintanace book you will need chassis no but what ever touch up paint you get DO NOT use brush provided as it is too big use an artist brush cheep one will do it is important to get right colour code as even though you may know the colour after a couple of years it isnt unknown for the manufacterers to change the colour slightly ie ford diamond white are pages long as it has been goining for so many years hope this is helpfull
Before you do anything with paint I would try T-Cut. If its not a deep scratch T-Cut alone will improve it significantly. If it doesn't help, it certainly won't hurt! The tip about the artists brush instead of the touch up brush is a good one!
if you are in the UK try chipsaway.co.uk . they match and blend the scratch so its invisible!! brilliant.
(would advise you dont do until you want to sell the car..then you can get all the scratches done at the same time, as you are bound to do it again!!) lol
There are scratch repair kits on the market , other than that respay repairs are expensive
