Car brake lights?

i have a peugeot 306. the break lights are not working properly. they work every now and again.

Answers:
Keep the pedal down and they'll stay on!
Probaly a connection problem. Check the lights are not damp and clean the connections
its probably the button up under the dash thats runs off your brake.it could need adjusted or replaced.
there is a switch on the top of the pedal normaly there is make sure it is getting pushed in all the way
Rofique A. You spell the word BREAK as in broken , so perhaps that is the problem they are broken!! The word is BRAKE.
your brake light pedal switch is faulty, see a mechanic to get it fixed.
Sounds like the switch up in the pedal box is sticking, get a new one and stand on your head with your feet over the seat back and head down among the *** ends and beer cans under the speedo with a torch in your mouth and an adjustable spanner in each hand and learn why mechanics cost b£ 50 per hour as you try to fit the new unit, dont mess with the old one it will break off if you disturb it.
check the connections in the light clusters, if you don't find any problems refer to the manual in the trouble shooting guide in the electrical section
