What is the Annual Road Tax for private car in UK?
Answers:
go to dvla.gov.uk for a full list of car tax bands
Be more specific
It all depends on engine size for older cars and emmissions for newer cars.
it really depends on the the engine capacity and exhaust emmisions..Try looking up www.dvla.co.uk.
i think it is £110
hope that helps x
between 60 - 110 for 6 months (smaller engine cars are 60)
Band CO2 Emissions figure (g/km) Petrol Car Diesel Car Alternative Fuel Car
A up to 100 £0 £0 £0
B 101 to 120 £40 £50 £30
C 121-150 £100 £110 £90
D 151-165 £125 £135 £115
E 166-185 £150 £160 £140
F 186-225 £190 £195 £180
G Greater than 225 £210 £215 £200
Road Tax will depend on the CO2 emmissions of the vehicle in question.
The engine size will play the biggest part in deciding how much you have to pay.
For Example:
My car is a 1598cc (1.6) hatchback with a petrol engine and has a road tax liability of £175.00 per year.
Larger engine sizes will cost more to tax and smaller engines will cost less.
The government is moving more into taxing the drivers of the cars that emit the most CO2 and are therefore more damaging to the environment.
You should recieve a Road Tax renewal form about 3-4 weeks before the tax on the car is due. That will state the exact rate of duty that is due on the car.
Hope this helps.
