If your child as a parent who is a taxi driver do they have to have a car seat?
Answers:
Yes, all children legally need a car seat
if the taxy is yours with taxy all over it your are exempt from the law
yes
If you use the taxi for private use then yes you do need a car seat or booster.
yes , because the need for the childs safety is still the same, in many states not only is the driver ticketed ,but the violator or guardian of violator as well.
yes.
taxi,s are exempt, reason being if 4 people get in the car, then car seat has to go in the boot, fine, but then where would they put luggage, shopping, etc.
absolutely - u ever ride in a cab!? :)
You would be required to have a car seat if using the taxi for your own private use. (anytime YOUR child is in the car)
You do NOT have to provide a car seat for customers. They would have to bring their own with them.
Make sure you do not allow a child into the taxi if there is no car seat. It could be a major fine for you. Car seat laws apply to taxis but you are not obligated to provide the seat.
For the kids sake..YES!
No need for car seat if taxi being used for business but if being used as a private vehicle then its treated just like an ordinary car and a booster seat is required.Mind that means a black hackney taxi not a private taxi..
Yes the new law and restrictions applies to anyone with children under the height of 4' 12" check out the link below it provides some very useful information.
any child under 4foot5 and under 12 requires a booster cushion
it is up to the driver of the taxi if he will allow the baby unprotected handling this has been checked by local authorities
yes yes yes!
As the kid is safer in one, why wouldn't you want to use one?
I used to drive a cab uptil the 80's we, the cabs never provided a child seat, but the customer was welcome to bring their own! I haven't seen any child seats in any cab I've taken lately so I guess same rules apply!

not an easy question children can travel in taxi with no car seat but i think if it is your taxi and your child then the law is you must have one it also depends on how safe you want your child to be if you are involved in an accident some of my local taxi are carrying booster seats in case you get in with child
a child can travel in a car with out a car seat but only in an emergency
Taxi drivers in Ca are not required to carry child seats. Thats what a police officer told us when a mom came to our office asking the same question.
