i do!..mines 195/60R15.which is normal but the dealership says its an irregular low profile tire but thats just another way for them to make the $$$!
No kidding. Everytime I get a new car , the tires are another inch bigger. The old normal is now a 17" tire
People outside the industry don't think about the obvious fact that all tire can't logically be the same for all cars. Nowt as strange as folk!

LOL really well a normal size tire is what is normally on that persons car rather it being 13 inch tire up to your 20inch sized rims I know theres some people that just are not head smart in automotive area ( my car has 15 inch rims and and i have 205 60 R 15's on it

Refer them to their owners manual. Or tell them to open their doors and look at the label to see what their "normal" size tire is. Don't they know that each vehicle has it's own specs?
How can you not know what size tire is on your vehicle? I guess they haven't paid for enough tires to realize that size matters.
Next time this happens, sell them a few truck tires for their compact sedan. I bet they remember the size after that.

Relocate to the civilized world, where we spell, "tire," with an, "i," and our big-block V-8's go fast enough that anyone who doesn't know a little about tires doesn't last long.
I have 6 cars, 3 motorcycles, a truck, a bus, and a tractor and know several acceptable tire sizes for each of them.
Mine are R13 85's or something like that. The 85 is the height of the tyre compared to the width.
I was wondering though about those enormous SUV tyres, are they R13 110 for example?
You are the mechanic, you can obtain the information from knowing the make and model of the car or ask the client to go look at the tyres on his/her wagon. Or you could take the easy way out and get them to ring Kwik Fit who will know the answer and probably undercut your price! Provide the service you guys are (over)charging us the client for.
Are you asking an actual question or just getting something off your chest? You know as well as I do that "normal" is what is engineered for a specific vehicle.
You, presumably, are a professional. Clients come to you to correctly diagnose and repair their automobile problems.
Do average motorists know about tyres? NO. That is why they come to you.
As to the response by Fizz, most likely the size is 185R13. In Euro-Metric nomenclature, the aspect ratio is often not supplied.
In all cases, the missing aspect ratio number is 82. Thus:
185R13=185/82R13. This is the ratio of height to width, expressed as a percentage(82% of 185mm).
This nomenclature is rapidly becoming obsolete.
There is a wealth of inaccurate, misunderstood, and just plain wrong information about tyres, and cars in general. You, as a professional, owe it to your clients to be well-informed, knowledgeable, and patient with your clients.
