Help Volkswagen Polo?
Answers:
It might not be the whole clutch, considering your car isnt too old, it might just be the cable.
Fingers crossed it is as it will be a lot cheaper than a complete clutch.
Your clutch has gone out. You can look at spending a few hundred dollars for a new clutch.
Ahhhh. Should of had a Chevy.
The same thing happened to me and was frightening, as I was on a roundabout. It maybe only be the clutch that has gone but you may need to get someone to also check the pedal is still ok.
As I took the car to VW dealer and apparently there was a registered fault with the clutch pedal for your year of car. They had to replace the whole clutch & pedal. Apparently, the welded bit on the clutch pedal had snapped.
They replaced the whole thing but only charged me for the clutch.
Hope this helps
if the pedal will move back and forth with your hand then it should only be the clutch cable that has snapped, if this is the case it shouldnt be very expensive to fix. be prapared for a big bill if you use a main vw repair centre though as their hourly rate is terrible
