Why cant they have made more booster seats availiable , i cant get one anywhere they are all sold out?

Answers:
Don't buy a second hand booster seat - you never know what condition they are in and you may not be able to see cracks inside the fabric. After a crash all booster seats should be replaced and if you don't know the history you don't know it is safe.
look on ebay. they may have some available even if they are in poor condition
mothercare in chingford still has loads. i work there.
Why leave it so late, this has been advertised for months!
Plenty of online retail sites selling them - so if you are having difficulty getting one on the high street, might be quicker to mail order one?
What a ridiculous situation - do you think perhaps the baby seat/booster seat industry was struggling, so the Government passed a new law to help out?
Hope you find one soon.
dont worry the police have said they will be lenient for the first few months because of the shortage of booster seats on sale.
its a stupid law to have imposed in the first place.
You wouldn't believe what you find at Goodwill and yard sales. A good washing and spray with Lysol and you should be good to go.
The reason being is that most kids up to eight and nine depending on weight must have a booster, therefore, manufacturers have invented the 3 in one and the 5 in one which accommodates a child from newborn through booster age and they don't make a whole lot of boosters.
Also, there are over 400 booster seats on eBay at this time.
Another thing would be that next time you purchase a vehicle you might get one with a built in booster, they are really neat.
I only found out today that this law has actually started in Ireland too - i had heard nothing about it except on english chat groups and presumed it was only something over there. My mum found a piece in the paper today about it here and its the first either of us had known about it coming in here.

I hope you find a booster seat soon - so silly to bring a law in and not have made sure that the seats would be in plenty supply!

Before this law came in (2 years ago) i was working in a toy shop in a nursery dept and we gave out completely different advice - as per what had been tried and tested - i dont know why they suddenly think this has changed.

Sorry for wandering off the point - have you tried to put your name down for the next shipment?
You shouldn't have waited until the last minute.
It just shows how many people where NOT using appropriate child restraints and seats in their cars before.scary.
