Would changing my address clear the points off my license?

instead of paying to get my points taken off my license if i changed my address would they still be on my license when i get it back

Answers:
No, but following the traffic laws, slowing down, stopping at stop signs, and driving like an ADULT will stop you from getting tickets/points and after 3 years of being a safe driver (gotta LOVE drivers like YOU) your points will come off your driving record.

You don't live in Florida do ya?
Yes they would still be there!
If only it was that easy!!
correct
A big YES, the points will still be there.
That's very funny!
yes the points dont go away until you pay for them to go away there is no way of getting out of it
If your points are "spent" and you apply for a new licence "spent" points will no longer be on your licence
worked for me I have a clean licence now
The points will still be on your license
They will follow you even if you change your name when you get married. Sorry.
The only thing that will clear up your driving record is "time" unless you have two social security numbers and drivers License's.
yes
only if they have expired.
Correct answer is yes
providing enough time has elapsed and they are due to come off anyway
No! That's why there is a unique reference number on the licence. It identifies you, no matter what your address might be. Just drive more carefully in the future!
I've sent mine away twice after moving home and the expired penalties were removed for freeeee on both occasions!
The points are for you not your address. If they have expired they will not appear on a replacement licence, if they are still current then they will appear. You will have to change to the new type of licence if you haven't already.
No i'm afraid they'll trace you down because of your lisence number, and their database has your date of birth which that will work against you.

Sorry
No, your points stay on valid for 3 years but only come off your licence after 4 years. I no this because I just rang the DVLA yesterday to enquire about this as 3 points should have been taken off my licence in October and I hadn't heard anything and that's when they told me this. Also, if you change address which I also enquired about as I have recently moved, I was told to go to local post office and get a D1 application form and send my current driving licence along with a passport photo and a chq for the sum of £19.
Hope this helps.I wished moving address took them off too but unfortunately we do the crime we have to do the time :-( It's a cruel world!
They would still be on your licence. Be careful paying to get them removed as you cant remove them from DVLA computer no matter what anyone tells you and if you ever get stopped or checked, God help you.
If your points have expired, then yes they will be removed from the records when you change your address, if you are just trying to "lose" points which should be there for a reason then sorry but no, they will be there when you get it back.
Um NO. You think DMV is so stupid that they can't track your address change? Think again!!

By the way, they look you up by your driver's license number, not your address.
They will be on your licence for 4 years until they are removed moving address will not clear them
Yes!
They will remain
am sorry to say no
of course.... it wouldn't! why ask such a silly question in the first place
