Do you think old women should be forced to resit their driving test or be taken off the road permanently?

yes I do think that oaps should have to resit their test - an oap was responsible for the death of my friend's husband 5 years ago - he was on his motorbike and she pulled out in front of him..
Not just old women - I've seen plenty of old men driving dangerously as well (all the most senile seem to wear trilby hats while driving).
Some good examples:-
Driving along at 40mph in the middle lane of a motorway oblivious to the traffic backing up behind (in the UK you're not allowed to overtake on the inside so driving in the middle lane effectively blocks two lanes of a three-lane motorway)
The are frequent reports of elderly drivers in automatic cars getting the accelerator and brake mixed up and/or getting forward and reverse confused. Quite a few end up crashing into walls in car parks or running over their wife/husband on the driveway.
Driving the wrong way up the motorway.
Driving the wrong way round roundabouts.
Not noticing that traffic lights have turned to green and just sitting there in a dream world of their own
Not noticing the traffic lights have turned to red and running the red (at a snail's pace, of course).
All OAPs should get their driving tested every 2 years and their eyes tested every year.
Old men AND women should both have to retake their test yearly after about 65 or so.
Why old women in particular. Drivers over 70 have to be tested every 10 years (I think). Anyway, aren't these drivers safer than boy racers?
my gran is 84 and still drives and scares the crap outta me.she gets her sandals stuck on the peddles and when you are sat in the passenger seat and you are trying to find the brake isnt good!

Seniors in general are a real danger on the road and raise the insurance rates for the rest of us.
I think it's unfair to single out old women.
Although OAP's male and female do get bad at driving and should resit tests.
Not just old women, but all women. Granted old women are the worst but women of all ages are just useless.
All women to be tested once a year.

are you kidding me?! yeah oap drivers are annoying at times but the lunatic boy racers are more a cause for concern. its like they haven't even read a highway code - oh wait what am i saying. they probably can't read due to skipping school

dont forget BMW drivers who are usually MALE who like to drive inches away from your bumper.

Young people are more dangerous behind the wheel. That's why you have provisonal licenses, restrictions and high insurance.
What is your definition of old? In UK when you reach 70 you have to take a re test. I think persons under 25 yrs should be taken off the roads in UK, just look at recent stats on the subject.
It won't be long before some youngster will be saying the same about you!

Old men and women should. Their sight decreases and they just cant drive the way they used to, if they pass,thats OK, if they fail its better for everyone that they are taken off the road.
LOL. not just old women. I've wanted to run a few old men off the roads before too. But yeah. as bad as it sounds, I think old people in general shouldn't be allowed to drive. Its not safe for them or the people around them. They can't react as quickly, and apparently they all have a problem reaching the speed limit.
I think young men should be taken off the roads. They are arrogant and dangerous.

I believe that ANYBODY regardless of age and gender should have their license taken away if they don't obey the laws of the road and if they act like a kid on a go cart track!
I work on the road every day and i say from personal experience that all oaps should lose their licence and get cheap taxi fairs.
I think that it depends on the individual. If they are still capable of passing a driving test then of course they should be able to still drive. But if they fail then they shouldn't be able to drive. Thats the point of having the test. I kind of agree with your theory though.

you cant do that to the oldies because then you would have to do it to the spotty faced terds who just passed the test, school run mums, the rep mobile drivers, white van men etc etc
