Any in land lakes that we can practise speedboating?

We have recently brought a speedboat and would like to find somewhere inland that we can practise on. We live in Staffordshire and would like to find somewhere that you can pay on a daily basis rather than have to be a member for a full year as we dont yet know how much we will enjoy it.

Come to Michigan. For a small registration fee, you can drive you boat on any public lake. There are thousand of them for your use.
