This information is 5-6 years old since I looked into it, so things may have changed, but..
I've heard that it's quite dangerous, that pirates are a serious risk, and you have to worry about your safety when you're in harbor, too. Other than that, it's paradise..
I'm assuming that you're talking about cruising in your own yacht. It is no doubt a completely different story if you're considering cruising as a passenger on a commercial ship.
