How can i remove/discnnect the speed limiter on my iveco turbo daily van it has a tacho?

help please as it refuses to go over 70 mph

Answers:
i am guessing its computer controled
the only way of doing it that i know is by a programmer for your specfic vehical and that will allow you to change it
Sorry mate but that is well illegal, if your caught by the police or the ministry you wont need to know how to disconnect it as they will take your license, any way 70 in a daily van is fast enough.
70 is too fast 4 u lot u aint safe try stopping it fully loaded thats why its fixed at 60 ish
The limiter is controlled by software within the ECU. You could ask some backstreet garage with CANalyser or some such diagnostic tool to have a look, but to be honest, they would probably cause more damage than anything else. Also, the guys above are right, you would be looking at more than a fine if caught on a public highway. The manufacturer has designed the vehicle to go that fast due to the many factors including handling, braking and suspension. If you change the top speed, you could find yourself at best in prison or at worst dead. Not worth it.
good, why do want to go over 70mph anyway, you will always give white van drivers a bad name if you want to go over national speed limit!
