I do not condon this sort of behaviour at all, however we must provide a safe environment for people who wish to drive fast the oppurtunity. Lots of places were people can go to drive fast legally and safely are being shut down because of noise restrictions etc, but all that happens is the people that would normally drive there spill out onto the public highways.
Until very recently i used to run a very fast car, i only raced it on track and at other proper events, never on the road, but unfortunately people don't always take that attitude and spoil it for the more sensible drivers.
If people are found guilty of racing on the public highways they should have there licence taken away from them for a minimum of 3 years. The sentences should be much stricter for motoring offences as their simply is not a deterent at the moment.
I think the fundemantal problem is the ease at which people can pas there test, personally i think we should have to pass a test that involves all aspects of driving, and be much more indepth. It should involve a period of 9-12 months no matter the ability, as for the complaints about the cost of this, then simply weigh that against the cost of one human life and the argument in my opinion is null and void.

I don think that its a good way. Cause even if u put them in jail, they gonna come out 1 day n start again. so it is better to put some classes for them to teach them some skills about driving, n racing, to avoid future accidents n problems.
Its a law no street racing , for the track only ,drive responsibly and follow the rules of the road at all times that's my motto, but your right but what do ya do ?
I agree with you on the boy/girl racers. But in my opinion it's the elderly who should be taken off the road. I've seen alot of accidents because of elder people driving at 20mph on country roads and 'sensible' drivers doing 40-50mph round a corner and have nowhere to go smash into them. Also people held up by someone going ridiculously slow on a 60mph road get annoyed and it makes them take unnecessary risks to overtake them. Causing accidents.
I think alot of younger drivers are silly with their driving but they have better reaction times and are more capable of avoiding an accident. At the end of the day everybody has a different style of driving and none of them are perfect, we just have to tolerate them and get on with our lives.

Definitely, I do all my racing on track days, you get to go at stupid speeds any try all sorts of things even the worst maniac wouldn't dream of on the road, AND ITS LEGAL!! Although I'm not a boy-racer I'm more of a man-racer!! Who has a Jag!!
