Do you get more miles per gallon with LPG or petrol?

Answers:
petrol :)
petrol as more energy is produced in the combustion process
LPG is 25% more productive becuase of the cheaper cost to purchase
you get more mpg with petrol, you need to drive a lot to ofset the costs of the system and lower milage, also less power from lpg
Normally more with petrol but as LPG cheaper its best to use. of course it depends how you drive as well.
Pretty sure its petrol.
I am associated with the maintenance and record-keeping of a fleet of some 50 vehicles that are 'dual-fuel'.

Our experience indicates that LPG gives slightly less equivalent MPG than petrol. However, the cost benefit of running on LPG considerably offsets this.
the same but lpg is much cheaper
More mpg with petrol BUT LPG is miles cheaper.
Petrol
A LPG vehicle will use between 10 to 20% more fuel .
Another point to remember is 1 litre of LPG is not equivalent to 1 litre of petrol. The specific gravity is lower.
You have to have a good yearly mileage to offset the cost of fitment .
Maintenance is also a big factor.
You get more MPG from petrol however LPG is so much cheaper (at the moment) and therefore is cost efficient - provided you do enough miles to cover the cost of the conversion. As a guide, if you have an engine doing 16 miles per gallon on petrol, running it on gas will be the equivalent in cost of getting 30 mpg.
More mpg with Petrol. but more miles per $ with LPG
LOTS MORE WITH LPG AND MORE FRIENDLIER FOR THE REST OF US REAL HUMANS THAT CARE
Just remember that LPG is only cheaper due to lower taxation. Once it is widely used I predict that tax will rise - it always does.
RoyS.
You get less MPG with LPG (not drastically), but it is substantially cheaper than petrol so the benefit of cost outweighs the slightly less MPG.
no its just cheaper to use lpg, but that is only after you have paid the expensive costs of have the lpg installed, is it worth it?
You will get less with gas and a small fall in performance but as gas is cheaper there is a small gain
