Warning light on megane,what's the cause?
Now the warranty has expired it's come on again, it doesn't need a service. Can I dissconect this light or should I have it looked at.

FIRST THING TO DO IS HAVE THE COMPUTER SCANNED FOR CODES. MORE THAN LIKELY ITS SOME KIND OF EMISSIONS FAULT. IF THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AS MUCH AS YOU SAY THEY SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT FOR FREE BUT MAKE SURE TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION AND THAT IT HAS BEEN IN BEFORE AND TELL THEM TO MAKE CONTACT WITH YOU TO OKAY ANY CHARGES. OR GET THE CODE AND RE-POST A QUESTION AND I CAN BE MORE HELP. GOOD LUCK
I'd ring them and ask about it. All these newer cars are doing that to make sure you service them at the dealers instead of your local mechanic. A real pain in the neck cos you're always afraid to ignore them incase the car blows up of something. Can you see anything in the manual that might help?
Anyway, they may check if for you for free. Cause a scene if they dont ! The warranty just expired on my Megane. They are now offering free breakdown assistance if you get one of the free safety checks done so bring it in and ask about that if they havent told you about it.

Ask the Renault people to disable it or how to clear the warning. Some cars now have a warning light to tell you to change the oil, base either on time or miles. You might be able to flip a switch to disable this feature.or there is a way to clear the warning.
You might look in your owner's manual. It might tell you where you can disable the service light warnings. Or at least program the length of time.and how to clear the warning.

if it is the model that i am thinking of there should be a reset button for the warning light to be turned off if you look in your handbook it should say
the service light comes on for one reson it needs a service this regardless of milage and months served.
not inless you had it servised like a week ago and light comes back on then it needs a new moduel in it
