Why don't UK buses have seat belts?
Answers:
School buses do.
Most Coaches do.
good question!
it would possibly slow down the busses
Impractical and no fun for the driver.
thats a very good question I think that they should have seat belts on the buses in the UK.
the public school system of the UK doesnt have any laws requiring them
Good question. Used a bus couple of weeks ago and the driver obviously had a need for speed problem. Been on smoother rides at Alton Towers! My daughter fell off the seat and hurt her leg. Got abuse from bus driver when complained so have written to bus company to complain instead.
Because the seats are so close together that if u do fall forward not much damage would be done as you would hit the back of the seat infront.
Beacause most ppl wud rather not have them, including me.
:)
. . . cos the people who use buses wouldn't know what they were for . . .
do they have them elsewhere then?
The cost of installation and maintenance would outweigh the benefits to safety in the eyes of bureaucrats and beancounters.
good question,,..if seatbelts became mandatory, then what would those who stood up use,..maybe a neck noose ?
because it would be too much hassle to unbuckle and so on. Time wastage
I don't know why they don't have seat belts but I do think they should especially when you see how bad some of the drivers are. I know there are some good drivers, but even one accident is one too many if someone is hurt because there are no seat belts.
it's not law & when they make it law as they will soon, it won't work -can any one imagine the school run.
Cos it is all part of New McLabours population control masterplan.
