Can anybody tell me the new rules regarding the child booster seat what is the age and height?
Answers:
I read it is 135cm tall or age 12, whichever comes first. My 9 year old is already that height so she doesn't have to have a booster but she uses one anyway just to be safe.
no, not AGAIN
Usually 4 8" or 12-13 but its differant in every state.
4'9 I know is the height which is probably children from age 10-13
That depends upon the state. Each one has different standards. The standards that just kicked in in MO are:
At least 4 yrs but less than 8
OR
Weigh at least 40 lbs but less than 80 lbs.
OR
Height less than 4'9".
I don't know if it is the same in every state, but in Michigan they are supposed to be in a booster seat until 4'9"
In UK it is basically that anybody under the age of 11 needs a booster seat now. Anybody up to 4'5 I think, not sure on height but they are using age as well, and thats eleven.
Depends on your state. if you call your local 'division of youth services' they can give you all the guidlines and recommend the best car seat! . in Alaska they will even give you a loaner if your in a financial crunch
