Walking to the USA?

If the miles were calculated travelling by ship from the UK to the States, and a relay team walked around the deck of the ship from port to port could a record be claimed for walking from the UK to the States. Or has this already been done?

I doubt it coz even if you continuously walk around the boat from port to port,you haven't effectively walked to USA coz the boat is travelling much faster than walking pace.

It would have to be a relay team, otherwise they'd have to have a lot of gadgetry to prevent themself entering a hypnotic state. But with a relay team, the point is not there, surely.

Hmm, it'd be better if they used water floatation devices on their feet and walked via Canada and Iceland etc!
Try walking to the USA in a plane, its quicker !!!
