Car scrape?
Colour is metallic black. Spoke to my friend regarding this and he recommended a place to get the panel resprayed. It's a 3dr Ford Focus, so it's the panel which includes the rear wheelarch
What sort of cost should I be looking at here?
Answers:
Have it "stolen" for the insurance money. And please drive more carefully in future.
before you go spending a ton of money, get a product called rubbing compound. that took the gouges out of my mother's vw bus!!
on aford focus, unless its fast and furious, i would just fix the paint scracth, somone can do it, its only paint, or does your friend know a friend who works there," yea. but theyle have to re-paint the whole car", come on, its paint
ummmmm.
idk
why dont you ask. DAAADAADAAADAAADAAA!

You should be able to get it done for $400.00 or less. Get 3 or 4 estimates & if you are paying for it yourself (not insurance claim), tell them & they may give you a little better price.
if it is only the scratch and no dent you should be looking at £125 to £175 they will only have to paint the quarter where the scratch is not the whole car
£100 I rekon altho black can be hard to match also you say theres no damage but there may be some damage you cant see. next time be more careful I wouldnt claim on insurance your prob lose that in extra premiums
I wrecked the wing on my Rover Metro hitting a post in a car park and a replacement wing from a breaker in the correct colour cost me £12, only £2 more than the car was worth,
I have a Saab and that had the same problem, if the paint is cut thru no amount of T cut or colour polish will fix it, it can be improved but you will always see it. Painting the panel is the only way
i got a 3dr focus with a parking dent dent in the same panel! any other panel and it wouldnt stand out so much!
The best advice is to visit a dent and scratch repair service, they really are very good, and at a fraction of the price. I might imagine a bodyshop asking for £500+ for that kind of job.
