Car booster seats what height do they need too be when they don't need one?
Answers:
Four foot nine inches is the general height. As a rule of thumb though because different cars have different depth seats.if the child's knees bend comfortably over the edge of the seat, and (with the child sitting straight up with backside and back all the way back agains the seat) the seat belt fits properly. (across the shoulder and low across the hips) Sometimes kids are at the boarderline height and will need a booster in some vehicles but not others.
You can also contact your local police department for help in determining your options and if the child needs a booster or not.
It doesn't go by height it goes by Either age or weight, whichever comes first I think its 6 or 60 pounds
