How far will a 2lr ford mondeo go once the light comes on to say the petrol is low?
Answers:
you should get 30-40 miles out of it, but very dodgy to try it as it will vary depending where the sensor is in your tank, and how well it's working, very scary if you don't know where the nearest petrol station is.
Not a very good idea to try it either as you can dredge up any gunk in the bottom of your tank into the engine so future performance can be affected, much better to get into the habit of filling up at quarter full
105 miles, you can be completely confident in this figure and forget about having to fill up while your driving this distance.
about 2.5 miles short of the petrol station
if its the warning light you will probably get 40 -50 miles if it is a digital readout and says zero I have managed 15 miles before diving into a petrol station
Quite a way. The concensus of opinion in the Mondeo Enthusiasts Group (http://www.fordmondeo.org) is that it comes on with at least 2 litres still in the tank.
I once did 30 miles, seat of your pants driving, you have to go at a slow speed so the little fuel you have lasts. Hope that helps.
They vary a LOT, safely probably 25 miles, sometimes my light comes on and there is around 2 gallons in it, once it came on and it ran out within a mile because the car was facing up a hill
More than 30 KM, maybe 50
