Re new legislation, for people that don't have cars but use taxi's will the parents provide booster seats?
Answers:
Excellent Question. I think Taxi Cab drivers should carry at least one baby seat in the boot of their car. With regards buses, thats a tough one. Coaches have seat belts now and usually on trips on coaches parents do provide their own kiddy seats.
No taxis are exempt from them as far as i no.
Parents should provide them. Always. It shouldnt be the cab's responsibility to clean it out after a kid pees in it ya know? And no matter where a parent goes they should always have a car seat ready to go. They have ones that turn into strollers. but I don't know about buses and coaches. I think there needs to be something designed specially for those because of the volume of people coming and going. Plus people still stand in those.
Use of a booster seat is not required in a taxi or bus.
If a taxi supplies them you have to use them ,otherwise no they are exempt.
No taxi are exempt.
Innit, like! What is the point of this law? We may as well stick a taxi sign on the roof of our car!
i've heard on the radio thats its upto the driver of the car to provide seats. as for buses and coaches i dont no although they do offer more protection and they are better drivers than taxi cabs
if you are giving someone a lift to school or taxiing your exempt to the new law
