How long do points stay on your licence?

Answers:
UK - 4 years for speeding etc.
4 years from the date you recieve them
3 years
Depends on your state. But, usually 3 years.
3 years, you have to tell insurance for 4 years
Four years. I know that cos I got three points in 2002, and they've just come off.
It usually depends on the state you live in. For example, its two years in New Jersey, but you can take a defensive driving course to get the points off too. I would check your driver's manual, or go on your state's motor vehicle website.
3 years in uk
3 years other than DD which is 5 years and will effect your insurance for up to 10 years
Which country?

3 years in the Uk and 4 in the US I think.
Think it depends on what the offence was for drink driving is more serious obviously than speeding. For insurance purposes usually about 5 - 11 years
4 years
Depends on where your located. Check with the MOT,DMV, or the State Police.
4 years
Any where from 2 to 6 years in most states.
3 years in uk
They can be removed after 4 years but do not count after 3 unless you have been done for drink driving where they stay on for a lot longer.

When I say they do not count after 3 - if you get 12 points in a 3 year period you get an automatic ban.
Its 3 years. Have personal experiance from it.
4 years from the day you got it.
in the uk they stay on your license for 4 years from the date of conviction but they are counted as 'spent' after 3 years, so you don't have to declare them.

unfortunately, insurance companies usually ask if you've had any convictions in the past five years, so you have to declare them anyway. bah humbug!
i think its about 3 years but not 100% sure
4 years but only count for 3.
As far as the police are concerned it's 3 years but for insurance renewal purposes it is 5 years. Even though points don't count on your actual licence after 3 years ,failure to disclose them to the insurance company will invalidate your insurance if you had a claim.
In the UK four years from conviction.
