How difficult is it to change a cv-joint gaiter?

Iwant to change this myself but dont know if i cando it or is it better to take it to a garage but my budget is limited

dead easy. either buy a split gaiter kit or buy a normal one and split it with a pair sisscors. wrap it round and glue it together. it should take no more the 30 mins.
take to garage special tools needed
There are professional short cuts to doing this job, a garage can do it in an hour. Dont even think about doing it yourself it's a bast~rd of a job if you dont know how.to do it !
If you're used to wrenching on your ride and you understand how the CV works, get a book on it. BTW, your local library may have the book you need. You may be able to rent the specialize tools from Autozone. Good luck.

Its better to take it to a garage although not difficult it can be very messey.Get a quote before you leave the car Regards Mick.
