Does anyone ever join the RAC in a service station?

Answers:
Yes I did once, ad I knew there was a problem with my car
My sister and her husband did. They broke down and walked to a service station, the RAC man was there, he let them join there and then and did a bit of form manipulation so they could call to get their car towed.
I was discussing this with my husband yesterday - I don't know anybody who has joined at a service station (or outside a supermarket) but people must do, otherwise they surely would've given up that particular marketing tactic by now
yes have done
