Both doors on my ford mondeo won't open using the remote and sometimes won't open using the key. Please Help?

Have changed the batteries on the remote - still won't open. The key goes in the lock and turns but it won't click open. I just keep trying to open it and it evenutally opens. Is there anyway I can fix it or does it need a mechanic?

is it your car or you trying to open someone Else's who's is better
I had the same problem and had to have a new lock fitted. Didn't cost too much though. Ask a small garage to do it if you supply the new lock. You can buy the lock from a main dealer and there are no discounts available.Get a quote for labour first.
yes make sure car battery is fully charged and oil all door locks
I think you should take it to a good mechanic.
Having in mind the "quality" of the Ford electronics, you need a magician.
What you need is scanning the malfunctions memory of the body control module, who controls the centralised locks. I think in Ford it calls GEM (Generic Electronic Module).
Good look, and sorry by the joke, but really, Ford electronic technology is very bad.
A neighbor had a problem on his ford. There was a slightly out of order rod from the lock to the little motor that made both sides malfunction. He took the interior panel off and fixed it himself.
Damn Ford doors and windows!
