Where can i find the fuel pump on my transit van?

Answers:
We need a bit more info. They've been building transit vans for decades, and also it will help to know which motor you are running in case it's had an engine swap or upgrade. (People tend to blow up the engines in vans through overworking them more often than in cars.) On the older ones, it's typically on the side of the engine block, low down. On newer ones it may be an in-tank unit.

EDIT: Okay, I got your extra info. I am sorry but I don't live in the UK so i had to check on the web for what year 's' reg is and the info wasn't very helpful. But even so, the reg year maybe be a re-reg, so we still need to know what type of motor it is, at least. I mean, they made petrol AND diesel versions of the Transit. Obviously the diesel sytem is entirely different. So which is it?? I know it's frustrating but without knowing we can't help.

As for the immobilizer, that's auto electrics and pretty specialized at that. It's possible to by-pass the immobilizer, but is it an original type unit or aftermarket? You might have to see an autoelectrician to get that done, but they are expensive..

But if you can't start the thing anyway, how do you know there's a fault in the fuel pump? Just wondering..

Is there ANYBODY out there who can help this guy?? Preferably in the UK??
I think it's inside the sealed fuel tank. To reach it, cut a hole using an oxy-acetylene torch in the top of the tank above where you think the fuel level is and..

Where's he gone?

To get a sense of humour transplant perhaps!
no imob is part of the electric unit get some dosh and get a new key
Are you sure it's a 2.0 diesel because transit diesels on an S reg are a 2.5 diesel. The 2.0 engines in them are petrol and the location of the pump is in a different place on both.
Firstly, you didn't get 2.0l diesel transits in 1998, it will be a 2.5.
The fuel pump is an old fashioned mechanical pump on the exhaust side of the engine block at the rear, and is driven by an eccentric on the camshaft.
The fuel injection pump is on the left hand side of the engine as you look at it. The throttle cable on top of it should give it away.
