water pump went on my car and it dislodged the cam belt which bent the valve stems

a better option would be to take it to a garage and get the head re-done, probably cheaper too as most crash victims are going to be front end shunts which has a tendency of knackering the engines

vauxhall are doing re-manufactured engines that have a two year warranty - so a bit of come back should any thing go wrong - the head can be repaired on those engines the valve guides can be replaced as can the valves
